Khopra Danda Trek Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu (1400 m) to Pokhara (830 m) for 6 to 7 hrs.
We started to drive at 7 am early morning from the Kathmandu along the famous Highway called Prithivi highway. Firstly, we pass the beautiful green hills, and viewed a white snow mountain (Himalaya) from the right side window of the van. Continuing to drive and see the famous Trishuli river that followed by Gosainkunda lake and glacier. Heard that Nepal rivers are very famous for the white water river rafting.
We stopped to take a lunch after passing the juncture point Mugling on the way to Pokhara. After had our day meal, driven 2 hours to Pokhara. The city surrounded by river, forest, lake and Mountains. There are many fun adventure things to do in Pokhara. Stayed to overnight at New Tourist Guest House.
Day 02: Drive one and half hours for 45 km to Nayapul (1070 m) and trek to Ghandruk (1940 m) for 5 hrs.
We waked up at around 6 am in the morning and did some warm up exercise for the day trek. Actually, we already had order for the breakfast at hotel for 7am. As we had our breakfast, the driver was also ready to take us for the drive to Nayapul. So, it was not any problem to search for other car or van. We continued to drive from Pokhara and torn apart the road from the way of Sarangkot. Because, the road was in construction to widen in between. By viewing the beautiful Pokhara valley and green mountain along the way, we arrived at Nayapul.
The beginning point of the Khopra Danda trek. Many trekkers also can be seen who are heading towards Annapurna Base Camp and other part. We followed the little town of Birethanti, afterward Modi river, mountain terrace, Mount Fishtail (6997 m) and pasture at the Syaulibazar (1200 m). Stopped to have a lunch. Afterward, directed through stone steps to Ghandruk. This is very beautiful town to see the mountain lifestyle culture and stunning Himalayas (Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna and Fishtail).
Day 03: Trek to Tadapani (2640 m) for 4 hrs.
Waked up at around 6:30 am and packed up the things before the breakfast. We had our breakfast at 7 am in the morning in front of the Himalaya. The weather was very clear and we were so lucky to view the magnificent of Himalaya range even in the winter season. After had our morning meal, we focused in the direction of Tadapani.
The trail goes upwards through the stone steps and wilderness of oak and rhododendron forest. Walking into the dense forestry made like rambling into the peaceful and natural walk. We arrived at Tadapani for the Lunch and to stay for the overnight as well. Tadapani, is a junction place for the trek to Ghorepani, Khopra Danda Trek, and Annapurna Base Camp. The spectacular high mountains that can be seen from Tadapani are Annapurna South (7219 m), Himchuli (6441 m), Machhapuchhre (6997 m), Lamjung himal (6983 m) and Manaslu (8163 m) etc.
Day 04: Trek to Dobato (3426 m) for 4 to 5 hrs.
From Tadapani we inclined the route to Dobato. Early morning, we had our breakfast at 8:00 am and moved through the rhododendron forest. In the beginning, the trace energies little upward and run down through the jungle. Easy and descend path of this day was so much at one part between. Otherwise, the trail led always going upwards through the forest. The views of mountains and landscape are beyond the imagination. Very excellent and superb outlook. We stopped to tea break at Meshar (2969 m).
There is only one lodge which provide the drinking and snacks like cookie & biscuits etc. We Spend half and hours and moved again uphill over the forest for 1 hour and arrived at Isharu (3137 m) where we stopped for Lunch. There are 3 tea houses who provide the lodging and fooding. But, we there just stopped to have a day meal. The women who made a Nepali food (Dal Vat) was very good and delicious. After lunch, we pass through conifers trees/forest. The trail was like simple & moderate at the last before arriving Dobato (3426 m). As we reached in Dobato, the mountain view was outstanding and gorgeous.
Day 05: Trek to Dhankharka (Sistibang 3035 m) for 4 hrs.
Early morning at 6:20 am, we started our excursion hike to hill station known as Mulde view point. It would take 45 minutes to reach at the top. From there we can see not only Annapurna range as well as Dhaulagiri range with paradise view. At the hill station, we spend almost 1 hr. Then get back to the hotel which take 20 minute and had our light breakfast. Afterward, headed on the route to Bayali for 1 hr. and halt for tea break.
The trail was easy with mixed walk. Subsequently, after the piquant tea break, first 2 hrs. we descend downhill and another hour all the way up hill through the forested acres till Dhankharka. There we stopped to take a lunch break and overnight camp. Around only two lodges, one is from community lodge and another is private tea house lodge. Can see the attraction of beautiful landscape sight and animal Yaks.
Day 06: Trek to Khopra Hill (Danda) [3660m] for 4 hrs.
We had an enough time to relax on the trek. So, in the morning we slept long and had our breakfast around 9 am in the morning. Actually, after our pre-lunch meal we headed upwards to Khopra Danda and we were really able to see the good sunset view. The day was bit tough walk in the beginning though we managed it due to that we had an appropriate time.
In fact, we had made a plan to go Khayer lake but, after the coordinating with lodge member and according to weather condition, we found difficulty to go Khayer lake. Coz, the path was fully slippery due to covered by snow. So, finally we spend our day at Khopra Danda (Hill) for lunch and by surfing on the Internet and view the stunning Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range.
Day 07: Trek to Swanta (2270 m) for 5 hrs.
Early morning after good view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range, we had our breakfast before we descend down through the dense forest of Bamboo, Oak, Sandal wood and Rhododendrons to the Khola. There is only one tea house which offer the good place for the Tea break. From Khola to reach at Swanta is just one hour of mixed walk by passing through the river and forest. We stopped to have a lunch and overnight camp at Swanta. Very beautiful village with the mesmerizing view Dhaulagiri and social tradition life.
Day 08: Trek to Thikedhunga (1540 m) via Ghorepani for 6 to 7 hrs.
After the delicious morning meal (Breakfast), we first descended down from side to side for 15 min till suspension bridge. After crossing the swing bridge, we headed up hill over the traces for 2 hours and 45 minutes up to the Ghorepani. The walking trail is natural and good to stroll over the mountain terraces. We had our lunch at Ghorepani and again descended down to the Thikedhunga. Very beautiful village with the population of approx.1200 people and 312 houses. Beautiful waterfall attracts everyone to take a pictures over Thikedhunga. We spend our last night of the trek in the mountains there.
Day 09: Khopra Danda Trek finished at Nayapul (1070 m) after 3 hrs. of walk and Drive back to Pokhara (830 m).
We were talking that time was going very fast and trekking is close to end after the 3 hrs. of walk by following the Burundi river and Modi Khola. After the completion of trek and arrived at Nayapul, we driven back to Pokhara. The seven lake city for the fun other adventure things to do.

Best Time To Visit Khopra Danda Trek
The major trekking time of year in Nepal:
