Breakfast is included throughout the journey, while lunch and dinner are included during the Chitwan stay and trekking section, along with the welcome dinner.
Meals in Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara offer a variety of Nepali, Indian and international dishes. During the trek, meals are served at local mountain lodges and typically include dal bhat, noodles, fried rice, pasta, soups, potatoes, momos, eggs and other simple, nourishing options.
Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can generally be accommodated with advance notice. We recommend informing us of any specific dietary needs before departure.
Trekking Experience
The trekking section takes you through the scenic Annapurna foothills, with trails passing through forests, terraced farmland, stone steps and traditional mountain villages.
You’ll trek from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Tadapani and Ghandruk, with walking days generally lasting around 4–6 hours, depending on the trail and pace of the group.
The highlight is an early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for spectacular sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek reaches its highest point at Poon Hill, making this an accessible Himalayan trekking experience for travellers with reasonable fitness.
Daily Trekking Rhythm
Trekking days generally begin with breakfast before setting out at a comfortable pace. You’ll walk through villages, forests and mountain landscapes, with regular breaks to rest, enjoy the scenery and take photographs.
Lunch is usually enjoyed at a local teahouse or lodge along the trail. In the afternoon, we continue towards the overnight village, usually arriving by mid to late afternoon.
Evenings are relaxed, giving you time to enjoy dinner, meet local people, appreciate the mountain views or simply rest for the following day.
Chitwan Wildlife Experience
Your Chitwan stay provides an exciting change from the mountains. Activities may include a jeep safari, canoe ride, nature walk and Tharu cultural experience.
Chitwan National Park is famous for its one-horned rhinoceros, crocodiles, deer, monkeys and rich birdlife. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but travelling with experienced local naturalists gives you the best opportunity to discover the park responsibly.
Everest Mountain Flight
The Everest Experience Mountain Flight offers a unique opportunity to see the Himalayan giants from above without undertaking a high-altitude Everest trek.
The flight is weather dependent, as mountain visibility can change quickly. If the flight is delayed or cancelled due to weather or operational conditions, the schedule may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Best Time to Travel
The most popular seasons for this journey are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November), when the weather is generally pleasant and Himalayan visibility is often excellent.
Winter (December–February) can also be rewarding, particularly for cultural and wildlife experiences, although mornings and evenings in the mountains can be cold.
The monsoon season (June–August) brings rain, greener landscapes and more challenging trekking and road conditions.
Travel Insurance & Safety
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveller. Your policy should ideally cover medical treatment, trip cancellation, lost or delayed baggage, travel disruption and emergency evacuation, including helicopter evacuation if required.
The trekking section reaches Poon Hill at 3,210m, so while this is not an extreme high-altitude trek, you will still experience changes in altitude, weather and terrain. Our experienced guides will monitor the group throughout the trek, maintain a comfortable pace and make adjustments when necessary.
Packing Suggestions
For this journey, pack for a combination of city sightseeing, jungle activities and mountain trekking. Comfortable walking shoes, lightweight clothing, warm layers, a waterproof jacket, sun protection, sunglasses, sunscreen and a reusable water bottle are essential.
For the trek, bring a small daypack for daily essentials such as water, snacks, a camera, warm layers and personal medication. Your main luggage can be left at your hotel in Pokhara, allowing you to trek with only what you need. A detailed packing list can be provided before departure.
Group Size
All departures are guaranteed with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants. Our small-group approach allows you to enjoy a more personal and relaxed experience, with better interaction between travellers and guides.
A smaller group also provides greater flexibility during sightseeing, trekking, meals and free time, while creating opportunities to connect with fellow travellers and local communities along the way.
Responsible & Local Travel
We believe that meaningful travel should benefit the destinations and communities we visit. Wherever possible, we work with local guides, drivers, hotels, lodges, restaurants and community-based businesses, helping tourism income stay within local communities.
From staying in locally operated mountain lodges to experiencing Tharu and Gurung culture, this journey encourages respectful and authentic connections with Nepal. We aim to travel responsibly while protecting the natural and cultural environments that make Nepal so special.
Important Note
Nepal is a country where weather, road conditions, mountain trails and domestic flights can sometimes be unpredictable. The itinerary may therefore require minor adjustments due to weather, road conditions, flight schedules, trail conditions, local events or other circumstances beyond our control.
Any changes will be made with your safety, comfort and overall travel experience as the highest priority. Your guide and local team will keep you informed throughout the journey and make the best possible arrangements when changes are required.
