At this time there will be no rain and snowfall. Hence, sky will remain clear – temperature will moderate & flower already bloom.

Then we went downhill a bit, crossed another big suspension bridge, and arrived at Jorsalle for lunch. This is the best place to eat if you started from Phakding because there are no teahouses after this. We also filled our water bottles, as there’s no water source on the way up to Namche.

After lunch, the trail became steep. We crossed the famous Hillary Bridge and kept climbing slowly. It’s important to rest and drink water often to avoid altitude sickness.

After about two hours, we reached a checkpoint where we had to show our permits again. From there, it was just 10 more minutes to Namche Bazaar.

Namche is a busy himalaya town with shops, cafes, and hotels. At first, it felt too touristy, but we soon started to enjoy it. This is the main stop on the Everest Base Camp trek itinerary. We stayed two nights here—one to rest and one to help our bodies adjust to the altitude.

Distance: 2 Km / 1.3 Mi | Trek Time: 5 Hours | Difficulty: Strenuous | Stay: Camp de Base

We woke up in Namche Bazaar with clear skies and cool mountain air. This was our rest day, an important part of the Everest Base Camp trek itinerary to help our bodies adjust to the high altitude.

After breakfast, we started a short hike to the Sagarmatha National Park Museum. On the way, we were lucky to see the first view of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam—two of the most beautiful peaks in the world. It was a moment we’ll never forget.

We walked higher up to Syangboche (3,800 meters) to help with acclimatization. There, we rested for a while, drank hot tea, and enjoyed the amazing mountain views. After about an hour, we came back down to Namche.

The rest of the day was easy. We explored the town, visited cafés, and picked up any gear we still needed. Namche is the last good place to shop before going higher.

That night, we relaxed, charged our phones, and got ready for the journey ahead. This day gave our bodies time to adjust and gave us memories that made us even more excited for the days to come.

05 Day : Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

(Namche Bazaar – Kyangjuma – Sanasa – Phungi Thenga – Tengboche)

Distance: 11 Km / 7 Mi | Trek Time: 5-6 Hours | Difficulty: Strenuous | Stay: Tashi Delek Lodge

Today, we start our trek early to avoid the crowd on the way to Tengboche. If the weather is clear and you missed the view yesterday, this is another chance to see Mount Everest. The trail begins with a steep uphill climb, helping us gain altitude quickly. After about 1.5 hours of walking, we take a tea break and enjoy the stunning view of Ama Dablam.

We then continue our walk along the mountainside, with the peaceful sound of a stream nearby. The trail becomes flat for a short time before descending into the valley. This part can be muddy and slippery, so we walk carefully. After an hour, we reach Sanasa, where the trail enters a beautiful forest of pine and rhododendron.

An hour later, we arrive at Phungi Thenga for lunch. From here, the trail climbs steeply for about 2.5 hours through the forest until we reach Tengboche. Here, we visit the region’s largest monastery and take in the peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a checkpoint before the final climb. On this part of the Everest Base Camp trek itinerary, it’s important to walk slowly, stay hydrated, rest often, and enjoy the journey.

Alternative Option If Symptom of AMS Occurs

If you’re exhausted, not feeling well, stop at the lower elevation Phungi Thenga and stay there. Don’t push your body all the way up to Tengboche. Finish the walk a next day. It’s preferable to take easy to get to Everest Base Camp. Never burden your body and rush to get sick somewhere along the route/trail. The symptom of AMS respond to the same altitude in different ways. So, be careful & plan accordingly.

Tengboche is popular for monastery which is the special of Everest trekking. The monastery is a significant landmark; many climbers stop here on their way to Mount Everest. Tourists are welcome to observe the evening ceremony at the monastery, but they are not permitted to take photographs or recordings. There are limited lodges in Tengboche. Hot chocolate and pizza are special of Tengboche, highly recommended to taste.

Afterwards, you will hike around 45 minutes gradually up to Dughla. Do not get confuse, right trail goes to Dingboche and left route goes to Pheriche. You will be there around 2 pm if you start at 7:30 am.

Now, you have enough time to rest and relax. Don’t go to sleep as soon as you arrive at the Lodge. Relax for a while, have some hot drinks (Hot Ginger lemon Honey will be good). (Lobuche – Gorak Shep – Everest Base Camp – Back to Gorak Shep)

Distance: 14 Km / 9 Mi | Trek Time: 8 to 9 Hours | Difficulty: More Challenging | Stay: Himalayan Lodge

Today is the day we’ve all been dreaming of—the day we stand at the foot of the world’s highest mountain. We start early from Lobuche, the sky still holding onto the morning chill. There’s a quiet sense of determination in the air. This is the toughest and longest day of our Everest Base Camp trek itinerary, but also the most rewarding.

With every step from Lobuche, we climb higher into the heart of the Himalayas. The trail to Gorak Shep winds through silence and stone. There are no teahouses here, just the crunch of our boots and the sound of our breath. We carry enough water, take breaks when needed, and always look up—the mountains whisper strength into our souls.

By midday, we reach Gorak Shep. After a quick meal and dropping our backpacks, we head out again—toward Everest Base Camp. The path is rough, scattered with gravel and dreams. Then, finally, we see it: a cluster of rocks, prayer flags dancing in the wind, and the Everest Base Camp sign. We made it.

Tears mix with laughter. The return to Gorak Shep is quiet—tired bodies, full hearts. Tonight, we sleep at the edge of the sky.same problem in such high altitude. Try to acclimatize and stay strong for a single night. Think for next day down to the valley.

Today is one of the most memorable parts of our Everest Base Camp trek itinerary. We wake up early in Gorak Shep and begin our climb to Kala Patthar (5,550m), the highest point of the trek. It’s still dark and cold, but the thought of watching the sunrise over Mount Everest keeps us going.

After about two hours, we reach the top. And then—magic. The sun rises slowly behind the Himalayas, lighting up Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. From here, Everest looks even closer than at base camp. The views are 360 degrees of pure beauty. We take photos, soak in the moment, and feel proud.

The walk back down to Gorak Shep takes about 50 minutes. After a warm breakfast, we begin our descent. The walk to Lobuche takes around two hours. We stop for tea, then continue to Thukla for lunch. It feels easier going down, and the air gets thicker as we lose altitude.

After lunch, we cross a small bridge and walk through a peaceful valley to reach Pheriche in about three hours. This windy village is surrounded by tall, rocky mountains. We stay at Panorama Lodge, with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Thamserku—a perfect place to rest after an unforgettable day.
